This set features 203 tracks across 6 discs, showcasing the invaluable recordings of rock and roll pioneer Buddy Holly, housed in a luxurious package, limited to 7,000 sets worldwide! It includes Buddy Holly's earliest recordings from ages 12-15, demo recordings with Bob Montgomery, recordings made in a garage, his first studio recordings in Nashville for Decca, recordings for Coral and Brunswick, and a wide range of material from famous hits to tapes discovered in his apartment that received significant media attention. This comprehensive collection includes 6 unreleased tracks from the August 1955 sessions, 11 tracks previously unreleased in America, all original songs, original recordings before dubbing, and 57 overdub versions recorded in New York and Clovis. It even includes tracks overdubbed and released after Buddy's plane crash, which is often referred to as "the day the music died." This is a truly rare collection that even the most dedicated Buddy Holly fans and collectors would struggle to find. The set includes an approximately A4-sized book with 80 pages! It features numerous valuable photos and recording information for each session. The book includes two liner notes: "Legacy" by Billy Altman, which summarizes his career, and "The Music" by Bill Dahl, which focuses on detailed information about each session, like a research paper!
